Hiro finally hit 2k last week and just posted (...for the first time since december orz, need to work on that) SO RELATIONSHIP/ANYTHING GOES MEME.

Firstish impressions from Kairi and/or Hiroki?

Hiro thinks he's a loud-mouthed dumb brat with no respect for his elders!! And he can't believe Robin follows him around, it just totally boggles his mind.

Kairi, on the other hand, really likes Luffy - he's not the brightest sometimes but she can tell he has a big heart and she thinks his antics are funny. She loves dumb boys. And right now she's a little worried, since she isn't sure how things with Vanya are going to turn out, but she believes in the power of friendship! So she's optimistic.

First impressions, current relationship status, and uh. Hmm. Would Hiroki ever let her meet Nowaki?

On the one hand, she's smart and sassy and scholarly. Those are all traits he likes and admires in other people. And he's surprised by what she's told him of her world, and thinks pretty highly of her having such high ambitions despite the whole burning of history books thing. So he considers her a friend with potential to be a better friend, and an interesting person.

ON THE OTHER, she likes to tease and abuse which... Okay so he's used to that, and deep down he likes people who challenge him and don't take his crap, but other times it does genuinely embarrass and irritate him. The nickname makes him flail because it not only is annoying to be called out on his bad attitude, but because it gives him warm fuzzies and warm fuzzies = EMBARRASSMENT. Also she is a lady and he's not used to ladies like that.

But let's be honest, all of his relationships involve him being utterly topped so in the end he likes her.

Oh, and he'd let her meet Nowaki but he would really, really prefer it if they could find something to talk about that's not him. Sob.

Professor Grumpy so cute. :3 Robin likes having someone who's on the same intellectual level and kind of shares the same interests. I think both of them agree that books are pretty awesome. As much as she loves her crew, they sadly do not have an appreciation for fine literature.

Unfortunately, Robin doesn't want to burden Hiroki with all her history, so they're never going to get very close. At least not until she de-ages or something and he learns everything. Then it's hugs forever!

He knows it is a faint hope, and that really they would get along much too well for his comfort levels.

Yay deaging and hugs! I want to deage Hiro at some point in the not so distant future too. (If only for the chance to have THE CUTEST LITTLE TSUNDERE ICONS EVER)

Hiroki can be fairly self-absorbed, but he's not actually very emotionally stupid. So he can see there's quite a bit that Chitose isn't talking about, and the happy mask irritates him. But he also knows that to hassle Chitose too much would be hypocritical and annoying! And, well, he understands missing somebody, and he's uncomfortably aware of what a wreck he'd be if Nowaki had come and then gone, especially earlier in their relationship. So the little he picked up about the Koganei thing... It makes sense to him.

Other than that niggling thought, Hiro thinks that Chitose is a genuinely nice person and relatively unlikely to tease or fluster him. Which makes him a good person to talk to! He considers them somewhere between acquaintances and casual friends.

Okay, so Hiro on Vanya first!

He knows he can't understand her problems and in the truth post he straight out told her so - and that helped a lot in driving it home to him that she's just not capable of figuring him out on the level he's used to demanding of friends, etc. On the other hand, she's not a random student that he can terrify and teach and who are capable of dealing with him in their own way. Instead she's this tiny, abused little girl that thinks he's scary. And that bothers him a lot, but he still doesn't quite know how to deal. He wants her to like him, and he wants her to stop being so down on herself because that kind of attitude really gets on his nerves. So he feels like a terrible person but he's kind of clueless with kids. So, uh, he'll keep trying? But he'll probably keep being bad at it.

Kairi feels awful about what happened with Riku and the cards. That whole experience has made her feel very fiercely protective of not just Vanya physically, but of her remaining friendships. She's not going to let Vanya backtrack if there's anything she can do about it. She is going to be as relentlessly friendly and supportive as she can! And expects a very cute beetle.
